The fascination for butterflies has been there since childhood. The beautiful colors, the special patterns on their wings… When she sees butterflies she immediately feels happy. She even dreams about it regularly.

She wanted to commission a painting for her living room. Something new, something fresh. There had to be butterflies in it, that was beyond water. I puzzled with compositions and finally I proposed to her this idea of a triptych with different butterflies. She was very excited.

The butterflies symbolize a feeling of lightness and positivity. Experiencing joy in life, regardless of what happened in the past. They comfort, but also invite to take steps and realize wishes. This symbolism is very appropriate in her life. Now the triptych hangs in a central place in her living room and she can enjoy the butterflies every day.
